Since there are so many scary guitar players in this great forum to learn from, I'm taking this opportunity to get reviews for my guitar solo in this short clip. Looking forward to learning from everyone here.

That is extremely kind of you Javi. To be frank, I'm very squeamish about being here...with this being Guthrie Govan's forum and the fact that it's also a shredder hangout But I thought I'll come here in here anyway...as a fan, and also for learning more about the guitar from Guthrie and other great players here and also to hopefully gain exposure for my extremely humble music
Thanks so much for your kind words Javi! At least you helped to support this newbie before being shot down mercilessly by other reviews!
A very warm hello for you from Malaysia! _________________

Great note choice throughout, and your chops seem pretty damn proficient. You're a pretty scary player yourself! Was the solo composed or improvised? |

I don't care what people think about your music. I think you are a great guitarist... I won't be a good guitarist but at least I have a privilege ears like the best in this forum. ... but taste is subjective. _________________ Javi |

Thanks a million for your kind words thelordofcheesecake!
To be frank, I'm more of a simple rock/blues guitar player who is still dreaming that I would be able to shred and play fusion one day(if that day ever comes ). While my playing on my other songs on my music page is more improvised, this particular solo started as an improvisation and ended up being written note for note towards the end(I can improvise rock/blues but I cant improvise playing fusion since I dont have a clue what fusion is about, but still making a feeble attempt to play it And my theory was learned and conveniently forgotten! ). _________________

nice playing indeed! the chorused sound might not be my personal flavour, but the playing sounds great to me, especially the tappping/legato stuff.
cool to have you around!

I've heard your stuff man(that clip of you with Guthrie)...and you're frightening! To have somebody of your calibre to say what you said means helluva lot to me...thanks!
To be frank, I think you're holding back criticsms for the sake of being nice and sympathetic , but please do slice and dice me if you want, because I aim to learn as much as possible from posting this clip _________________

Thank you very much sumis!
I agree about the chorused sound...I used to like it at the time of recording(a coupla years ago), but nowadays I prefer a pure uneffected tone with maybe just a hint of reverb _________________
