In Jimmy's defense - While he was with The Dead - he was playing music which HAD to have certain hooks to make it Grateful Dead music. The same with Allman Brothers. I thought he was still killer. As I mentioned previously - I told him I was playing "in a cover band" - he winked at me and said "So am I". In those words, he acknowledged a certain contraint limiting him. Nevertheless - he blew me away.
