Hey all,

For those of you who own and play the Berringer V-amp pro and/or POD XT pro, which is the better buy? Economically I can save a ton of money if I buy the Beringer V-amp pro (I think it's like $300)...but I'm a Line6 nut and really want a POD XT pro...but I do not like their $700 price tag.

Can anyone here give me the pros and cons on both? Which is the better sounding unit for recording and live performance? I would run whichever unit I get into my amp for live performances and direct into my PC soundcard for recording. Any and all advice/thoughts/ideas are greatly appreciated.

Thanks ya'll,

John R.

John,
I definitely prefer the Line 6 products despite the monetary difference. The PODxt Pro is such asuperior product to the Behringer. However,if you're looking for something for both home recording and live applications I'd recommend you look into the PODxt Live or Vox Valvetronix SE.Hope you get the right stuff.

I'd stick to the Line-6 stuff, all considered it sounds better and is more flexible. I tried the Behringer Vamp, yeah, it's cheaper but MAN that thing is PAINFUL to listen to, very shrill and over-processed sounding, the aural equivalent of Cheez-Whiz.
