John used to recommend Roche-Thomas fingerboard oil for rosewood fingerboards.
I don't recall seeing a recommendation from him for the roasted maple stuff.

Unfortunately, no one really knows what the options are anymore, since the company's focus seems to be on the Pro models, and actually getting the "custom guitar options" page on the website ...

Haven't played either, but since I'm a locking trem fanatic, the Satin would be the choice for me.

Before you go routing the guitar, perhaps try a single coil sized humbucker first. I don't think it should mess with the SSC for the neck and middle pickups.

Not hard to adjust the claw, you just have to be patient and do it in small increments. Patience is your best friend while doing this.

I love that guitar- it's very similar to what I would spec in a custom. I'd definitely just get a 3 way toggle though, and move it out of the way.

Yeah, they've priced themselves out of my reach. I don't spend enough time playing guitar to justify the cost of a custom.
My only hope is that they do a Pro series with specs that I could get along ...

It would be nice if they did a run of Pro Moderns geared toward shred, but without the fancy paint jobs that add $500 to the price.
