I have not found any noiseless pickups that do what the SSCII does. Not that they are bad - they aren't. I found Kinmans (Scoop) really good and I'm liking my EMG SAX/85X setup.

Could go for the ...

How much do Fenders weigh these days? Probably all over the map, unless you're going Custom Shop.

I stay out of guitar shops for the most part.

That SSCII I expect will add 4 to 6 oz on top of ...

I've seen reference before that the SSCII is approximately the weight of a humbucking pickup.

^ Risky...

Those are the one piece plastic bobbins, not fiberboard bobbins. Magnets in the plastic one piece bobbins can be adjusted. You stand a fair chance to be in the market for a rewind or ...

That's a tossup.

I guess the question is how the ocean air in Hawaii is - I'd guess those nickel covers would get tarnished quickly. Oh, and whether you like the tarnished effect.

I got a PRS ...

You'll be fine with either Single Coil. I'd do the V60LP though if it were me.

The Humbucker - I'd do something on the low output end (maybe a Thornbucker+), but the only Suhr with a humbucker (ot ...

Basically the way I do it is depress a string at the 1st and last fret and look for the slightest movement. We're talking a the thickness of a h ...

The V60LP is fantastic, if we're talking an alder body.

Can't say on the V63 or ML Standard. ML Classic is fine in alder, just a little more subdued.

Humbuckers - I'm just one who prefers a s ...

Thing is I feel there's a good value for what you get.

Sure, the entry price is high... But to get what's practical out of that that last proverbial 2%, well.. its going to cost a little, or a lo ...
