Tell me everything you know about this amplifier. How dirty does it get on Channel 2 with the boost engaged?

I mainly play Gibson Les Pauls and PRS Singlecuts and I like to use my right hand to hit the strings hard to generate extra dirt. I'm more of an old school Marshall kind of guy and don't need boat loads of high gain. I like boosting amps for that.

Anyway, if you have anything to share, please let me know. There isn't a plethora of information about this amplifier on the internet. Sad

Thanks!

Dale

Hey Bruno,

Thanks for replying. Does this amp get close or on par with early EVH types of tones. I know it isn't going to be the same thing. Is it in the same league as far as preamp saturation?

I posted this a while back, but here's a demo of the Classic Plus. You can read all the details about it here:

http://www.petelacis.com/2007/09/13/custom-audio-amplifiers-suhr-od100-classic-plus-third-time-is-the-charm/

I think it has more than enough gain for your applications. Also, I think our tastes in tone are similar. I've played all the variations of the OD100 and the Classic Plus is my favorite of the bunch. Its certainly the best of the line at handling both humbuckers AND single coils.

Hey Pete,

I sent you an e-mail over at your site earlier today. You will recognize the e-mail address if you haven't already seen it.

I appreciate your reply in this thread. I will let you guys know what I wind up doing.

Thanks!!!!!

Let me get this straight: The second set of Estrada videos in the VH Tribute Band on the Suhr site are of the regular Classic and the Classic Plus has more gain than his amp? If that is the case, the Classic Plus would definitely be perfect for me.
