Does Suhr make pickup cavities larger for guitars with covered pickups?

I'm eyeballing a Suhr modern to buy; however, it has covered pickups, and I would want to replace with non-covered.

Yes, the routes are slightly larger and the corners are tighter when we route bodies for covered pickups. You can put uncovered pickups in the guitar, there will just be a slightly larger gap than what we would normally do.

The opposite, however, is not true. You can't put a covered pickup in one of our non-covered routes. The route would need to be modified in this case.

Another alternative would be using raw nickel covered pickups. They are more transparent sounding than chrome or gold covers. Still not 100% the same as non-covered, though.

We hope this helps!
