Hey all...

This may be a strange questions, but I am just curious what wire is used on Suhr Guitars.

I regularly use the vintage wire, but I really like the wire used on my Suhr Moderns. Is this special to Shur, or is it available elsewhere?

Not a strange question. We like the wire too! Razz The gray and white wires are teflon coated, which prevents melting while you solder. The gray is 22AWG stranded hookup wire. The white is 24AWG shielded wire.

We hope that helps.

Thanks or the info...

So am I safe to assume that if I search for such wire, anything teflon coated will be similar?

I am not a fan of most PVC coated wire that melts, hence the reason I use vintage wire for nearly everything...

I'm afraid it isn't easy to get. We have it custom made for us. You migh be able to find something similar in surplus electronics places.

John and CS... Haven't been online here in a while, butt thanks for the info; I was afraid that may be the case! It is fantastic wire, and while I don't know all the suppliers, but as far as I am concerns it is by far the best I have seen for a modern wiring job!
