Hi - I ordered and have now received my pick guard from the Suhr factory. I also have a Humbucker pickup.

What I'm unclear is the wiring. The bridge wiring on the original V70 is straight to the noise canceller.

How should I wire the new H pup? Same?

Thanks!

Best - Chris

You probably want to ask customer service to send you a wiring diagram. That's what I did

No the humbucker would go to ground not to the systems since it is already humcancelling. There is a lot more to it though to make sure the single coils see a 250K load and the humbucker sees a 500k Load and the correct tone cap value. You will also need a 500K pot for the volume, a few special resistors and a 500K for the bridge tone if you have 3 controls. Best to get a wiring diagram from CS

Thanks! I now have drawings HSSR5120-SSCII and the original stock SSSR5120-SSCII-V70. Couple of strange delta's between my original wiring and the drawing:

1. I have V70's stock - and the blue wire from the SSC-II was connected to the Bridge pup versus the drawing. Wonder why?
2. The Neck and Middle pups are swapped on the 5 way - from what the drawing says.

Additionally on the HSS drawing:

1. Same issue as item 2 above.
2. Do you know what the A500K Tone 2 POT is that is used at the Suhr factory? Can't read the volume A500K POT (same POT I'm sure) due to solder/ground covering up the info

Thanks again!
