I really want to place my order, but I don't have any desire for a roasted figured maple neck, just a extra vintage tinted neck. I was told that Suhr won't do a tint on a flame or quilt neck, only roasted.

You have that a little skewed
The deal is we are switching to only using the roasted wood for figured necks because of it's stability and tone. Using this wood we can eliminate the short warranty and extend the neck to lifetime despite the figure. The color of this wood looks like extra vintage aged tint so it doesn't need any tint. We could add a hint of yellow but it is very nice as it is.
Thanks
JS

Thank you for your response. I switched gears and am going with a cocobolo neck/board, is it possible to get is nicely colored, like the one you guys did for Matts Music serial #9999 Smile

Or what about the opposite - figured/roasted maple neck with a non-figured/non-roasted maple board?

What about a maple board on a dark wood neck like cocobolo or pau ferro?

Roasted things are my favorite whether these are chips, chicken or something else. I just read essayshark reviews for further details about roasted things. Though, these are not good for health but eating desired things bring extra amusement in life.
