The strings on my Classic Pro are feeling looser than usual. It has new strings that have been stretched out and tuned to pitch. I had it setup by a luthier in Washington that does work for Pearl Jam. I trust him. With that said, are there any parts of the guitar that would make the strings feel so loose? Could this be a culprit of a neck that is too straight? Haven’t touched the saddles or anything. Thank you for the help!

Man you should be so lucky, I never have been. How long have you been playing guitar?

New strings and a setup with truss adjustment can make the action and give or tension more slinky. the “preferred new strings tension” amount of tention, but only s little bite in each direction (tighter-looser) But I’ve never heard strings were too loose tuned to pitch. I would get use it and play it like crazy for one week, then let us know how much more touch sensitive your style and playing has got. If still too loose then, well that’d surprise me.

Been playing for 15 years. Just don’t like working on my own guitars for adjustments. I feel like I mess it up.

The trussrod was bowed forward and created a looser feel than what it has been. I like my strings to feel loose but not this loose. Just gave in and had it setup. Feels way better like I remember. Trussrod adjustments do a lot for the feel apparently.
