so how does one even get into the guitar building business nowadays. it is a question that ive been wondering about for a very long time. |

Well it wont be easy thats for sure. In the UK i know there are several courses you cna now go on that specialise in guitar lutheiring (did i invent that word??) but they aint gonna be cheap.
I guess you have to accept that you will start at the bottom and work your way up slowly over time. Build guitars for yourself and friends for a few years so you can get the basics. I know a guy whos built a few guitars and hes now doing quite well.
I would love to give this a go but am nowhere near skilled enough. I have recently just taken up an interest in electronics and started building some simple pedals for myslef and looking to sell some to friends. Who knows, one day we may all make it. |
