Here are the answers to the three most asked questions I've been receiving lately:

Q: What pick does Guthrie Govan use?
A: Big Jazzer, Heavy Gauge, Standard Bevel no Grips

Q: What pick does Andy Wood use?
A: Big Jazzer, Heavy Gauge, Standard Bevel (for mandolin - without grips, for electric guitar, with grips)

Q: What pick does John Petrucci use?
A: Big Jazzer, Standard Bevel, with Grips

I think I see a pattern developing here.

And just to show you some diversity - Dweezil Zappa uses our Classic in Extra Heavy, with Grips and right-handed Speed Bevel.

You should see the ones I made for Ritchie Blackmore! Nothing like anything we've ever made before.

Well, he bought two dozen of them for his European tour, and has about 35 that we sent him when we thought we were getting an endorsement deal with him. It turns out that there won't be an endorsement deal, but he still buys and uses them. So as far as an "official" word - that's about it. You won't see us advertising on his site, you'll never see him mentioned on our site and we'll never have a mention on his cd liners. But think about it. Even at a price, Red Bears are better than free XXXXX picks! (You fill in the X's)

There are several people who for one reason or the other can't say that they use our picks, but they still buy them from us. Some songs that might be getting played with our picks include "Proud Mary" and "Highway Star", by the original artists for each. And the family of "The Man in Black" have some as well. These are just who I know of. I'm sure there are probably more.

I didn't take a picture of the pick, but here's an image from my laser file:

This is just about actual size - around 19.25mm x 28.8mm). I made it in the Black Onyx (naturally!) and it's about a millimeter thick. It had a sharp bevel all the way around the pointed end.

Talk about fate or Kharma - whatever - but I was just contacted by Ritchie Blackmore's people. He would like me to make his special picks for him in support of his upcoming USA Tour of Blackmore's Night. A possible endorsement is in the works. How cool is that?

Very Happy

Cool indeed!

As long as he's not still wearing his Wizard's hat!
