I just noticed and read John's article on the different bridges and was alarmed that he said the VG300 bridge has "issues" with .09 gauge strings due to the G string. Have you guys who have the VG300 bridge, encountered lots of problems using the .09 strings? I hope not, because I just had my dealer change my order from using .10 to .09s-I guess I might have to change it back. Thanks in advance for any info. on this, Mark

I am using the VG300 on a Suhr Classic and run .009's and 1/2 step down with no issues.

I have a light touch and light picking style which may compensate for the issue John mentioned.

If you like the feel of a Floyd but without the hassles, then the VG300 is for you.

THe VG300 is good, but does not stay in tune nearly as good as a Floyd. Very Happy

thanks Matt and Pete for the input. I switched my order to 10s before getting it. Right now, it feels like .09's for some reason. Anyway, I haven't had any tuning problems yet and I don't have a light touch at all.
