Hi folks,

No manual comes with Suhr guitars and I am new to Floyd Rose tremolo systems. How do I actually tune the guitar and change the strings? Sorry to ask such a basic guitar question but cannot find videos or anything how to do this with Gotoh Floyd Rose tremolo system and the guitar store did not bother to walk me through this process!

Thanks
-Ben

When it comes to tuning, the Gotoh Floyd Rose is no different to tuning any other Floyd Rose style trem.

Would suggest searching Youtube, as their are many fantastic videos, that will help you out:

I spoke to Suhr support and they mention on new guitar to use the finer tuners at the bridge and after changing strings the headstock tuners and then fine tuners. So far my new guitar has stayed in tune even after whammy bar use which is quite impressive!

The Gotoh is a seriously good system. It has some design improvements over the original Floyd too such as the smoother saddles and such. I have it on my Modern and it's absolutely reliable. Dives, flutters, pull ups... and it all returns to pitch no problem. I love the peace of mind that comes with it.

Keep in mind, though, that temperature and climate changes can cause the strings to stretch or contract a bit. So while you can get away without tuning your guitar for days with the Gotoh, you probably still need to make tiny adjustments with the fine tuners every now and then.
