Bought a new badger 30 a couple years ago. Love the amp. I run it into a single 12", semi open back cabinet that has an 8 ohm Warehouse Veteran 30 speaker in it. I do like the Veteran 30 speaker, but I'm wondering what speaker others are using with their badger 30s. I'm a blues / rock player. I run the gain at about 4 or 5 on this amp, using the volume knob on the guitar to clean things up. I use a clean boost sometimes.

I have the same amp. But use it in a somewhat different way. I set it fairly clean and use a pedal (Suhr Eclipse lately) as a core overdrive tone. I use to set it up with a little breakup, and use a Reverend Drivetrain II as my core overdrive tone.
Anyway, I have a Suhr 1X12 closed back cab that was loaded with a WGS Veteran 30 for a long time. I have another cab; a semi open back 1X12 that I have loaded with a WGS ET65. I liked the Suhr cab with the Veteran 30 fine. But when I started using the Eclipse, there was something going on in the midrange that I didn't like with that cab/speaker. So I'd use the semi open/ET65 cab and liked it better.
I recently pulled a speaker that I had in my closet out of the box...a Celestion Classic Lead 80, and tried it in the Suhr cab. I like it much better. But again, I'm using pedals for overdrive.

I use a Scumback M75 Blackback speaker in a Friedman Dirty Shirley 1x12 cab (cause i use to have a DS). The cab had a Celestion H Creamback and it was good but not great. This speaker came recommended to me and is a big improvement.
I run the amp with the gain on about 6 with a Koko boost, bass low and everything else in roughly the middle. The power and level are all over the place depending on what I want to hear or play. I'm not in a band now so I don't need to get very tight about settings.

I'm using Warehouse G12C's with every amp I currently own. It sounds fantastic with the Badger 30.

Hi All ;

I am currently using an Eminence Governor -Vintage 30, Vet30 clone.

I finding it to be a bit too mid heavy- I may need to dial in some more.

However; I have a Texas Heat 4 ohm and a Weber Legacy to try.

The Legacy i think will be along the lines of the ET65/90 Warehouse which are very open. as well.

Has anyone used a 4 ohm speaker with the B30?

I know to change the impedance on the back.

I have settled on a Tonker.

The Tonker took the blanket off the amp and lets it "breathe".

I have the Texas Heat up for sale on Reverb in a cab; I dont hate it, I just love the Tonker.
